Remarks by Mayor
The 4th China (Wuxi) Taihu Expo will be held in Wuxi
in the pleasant and picturesque season from September 17 to
23, 2006. On the occasion of its opening, I would extend to
all the distinguished guests and friends our warm welcome on
behalf of Wuxi Municipal People’s Government and the people
of Wuxi.
With the theme of “innovative, creative and
pioneering”, this Expo will encompass exhibitions, fairs,
forums and investment seminars, showcasing the achievements
that Wuxi has made in the course of building a moderately
prosperous society in an all-round way and forging ahead
towards the modernization guided by the scientific concept
of development and following the economic development in an
innovation-oriented, internationalized and sustainable way.
We will take advantage of this great event to build a bridge
for friendship and a platform for mutual benefit and win-win
cooperation. I am confident that this Expo will help us to
work hand in hand with friends all over the world in
exploring new fields for cooperation and sharing the results
of cooperation.

in Wuxi, a dynamic city and Pearl of the Taihu Lake.
